My wife and I have been looking for counter height bar chairs for a few months now, but we couldn't find something we liked at a price we could afford. Finally, because my wife is smart, she decided to to some Memorial Day shopping. She found a pair that we really liked on the Ashley Online Store and at a price we agreed was worthwhile. We were also surprised when they got delivered in about a week! We immediately started putting them together, and one of the first pieces needed to put one of the chairs together broke (one of the cross bars that helps stabilize the legs). It wasn't a &quot;I put too much pressure on it&quot; break; it was a break clean along the grain, like it was already there. This was annoying, but it happens. We went online to ask for the new part, but they don't answer anything other than phone calls right now, due to COVID. <br /> <br /> Here's where things get crappy... The call center only allows you to stay on hold for 15 minutes, at which point it forces you to leave a voicemail. This would be fine, but they promise to call back in &quot;48 to 96 hours&quot; (that 2 to four days for those keeping score). The first message my wife left was over 2 weeks ago, and we have left another 2 messages since then, spaced about 4 days apart. I understand things are nutty right now, but no response for over 2 weeks?? Are they this backed up with faulty parts that it takes this long to respond to people? We have had this chair, in pieces, in our kitchen this whole time, and we have no idea what to do at this point... <br /> <br /> Once this gets resolved, I will never buy from Ashley Furniture again. Unless they send us a brand new set of chairs that are fully assembled, I don't think there is anything they can do to make this right at this point.
