I accidentally bought the heart healthy bisquick instead of the regular kind and beans with bacon, which I do not eat. I went to return these items less than a week later with my receipt and was told that they are no longer accepting any returns. This was after I waited in the customer service line for a long time. I showed them how on my receipt it says "refund with receipt" but was still told they were suddenly not accepting any returns because of the coronavirus. I talked to the store manager and explained how I bought these before this. I spent over 300 dollars on this one shopping trip and go there frequently. He told me it's a new idea just implemented that day to not have returns. How can you do this with no warning to customers? People should still be offered a refund especially with items bought before this new policy. I said I don't care what you do with my items, throw them away then, I want a refund. I got a refund because I complained but I feel sorry for all the customers in front of me I saw get turned away. This will affect how I shop at fred meyer in the future.
