After reading most of these reports I would have to say that 75% of them are trying to return unreturnable items or they don't have a receipt! I'm not sure where they are usually shopping where they allow returns without receipts on perishable goods (goods that have expiration dates). That seems to be a common sense issue, they need to know when you purchased it to know if it was in a reasonable amount of time. Also small items that are frequently stolen from stores and have a high price tag are expected to be shown 100% proof if recent purchase by the person who is trying to return them. You can't expect to have the receipt and not have the debit card they were purchased on or have the Fry's card that was used either? Looks like you picked up a receipt from the parking lot and using it to return items that may have been stolen from there or any store that has them redily available without locked security on that item.

This all cones down to common sense and I highly doubtful that anybody who says that this 1 return problem that they brought up on themselves (by not using common sense or returning ninreturnable items) is actually going to stop them from ever shopping at a Fry's ever again! You have to be kidding me! I'll bet most will continue to shop there and will now keep their receipts and some might think that they are owed something and will probably be more inclined to steal something to make up for this issue. I'm not and never have worked for Fry's but I have worked at other grocery stores 35 years ago and know what people will try to do when they shop or in some cases, just steal without even making any purchases. I worked at a 24 hour store 3rd shift so we had are share of issues. We were located next door to a police station and it made no difference to customers who blatantly grabbed and ran. Only 1 got away out of 50 or so.
