I needed to return a bra I purchased for size. The Merchandise Total on my invoice was $49.95. When I went to the returns site the invoice they had on their records was $41.53, a difference of $1.42. I called customer service and asked why there was $1.42 difference. I was told that I received a discount for that amount. I told the associate that was not correct and my invoice clearly showed $42.95. After being on hold several times while she checked she told me that I would have to take a picture of my invoice with my cell phone and e-mail it to them as there was nothing she could do because $41.53 was what showed as my merchandise total. By now I had been on the telephone for over 2 hours counting on the time I was put on hold when I made the initial call to customer service. I then asked her what I would have to do if I didn't have a cell phone. She said I would have to go to someplace like Office Depot and have a copy made, scan it and send it with my e-mail. (are you kidding me) I was pretty aggravated by now and told her that since this call was being recorded I suggested that if she could she should have someone listen to this call. I was not nasty, I did not raise my voice, I did not swear at her. She promptly hung up on me. I composed an e-mail with a photo of the invoice (I do have a cell phone) and explained why I was sending the e-mail. The first time I tried to send the e-mail when I hit send nothing happened. I then typed the e-mail all over again attaching the photo and the same thing happened again. That was a few days ago and today I am less agitated and will try again. This is the first time I have bought something from Lane Bryant in several years and I will never do it again. Their return policy is a pain and their customer service is awful. There is not a Lane Bryant in our city.
