Groupon is complete robbery! They set very short expiration dates so that they can get paid even though the voucher may not ever be redeemed. They allow merchants to run re-occuring "deals" but if the groupon you purchased expired, they will not allow you to use it even though the merchant is re-running the same deal, which doesn't make sense. They say you can apply the face value of the groupon to the retail price of the service/product you bought, which is what makes this a complete robbery. For example, I paid $99 ($500 value supposedly!) for teeth whitening but my groupon expired so I can apply that towards the $500 and I would only have to pay an additional $401 (sarcasm) to get the service. Why would anyone do that? I can just go back to Groupon's website and buy it again for $99 instead of $401. The ridiculous part of this whole deal is that this isn't for laser teeth whitening, it's just a paste and tray. This was my very first and only experience and all I learned from this is that the founders of Groupon are obviously very smart. They found a legitimate way of scamming innocent buyers.
